Dr. M. Allyson Brown, MD, FACOG received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in 1988, and her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed internship at The Cambridge Hospital, a Harvard affiliate in Cambridge, MA, and fulfilled her residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a UCONN affiliate in Hartford, CT.

Dr. Brown is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She is a member of ACOG (American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology), AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) and NAMS (North American Menopause Society). She loves being an Ob/Gyn doc because her profession allows her to do surgery, some primary care and deliver babies. She says “It’s varied and never dull or boring, even at 2AM.”

Dr. Brown is a board member of ProHealth International, a Nigerian-based Christian medical mission organization, and has traveled to West Africa on multiple occasions for medical work. She is a physician volunteer at The Clinic in Phoenixville, a clinic which provides healthcare of the uninsured. Additionally, she is a speaker on risk stratification of breast and ovarian cancers for the non-profit organization Bright Pink. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Brown enjoys baking, camping, kayaking, gardening, and “anything Star Trek.” She is married to Ken Griffin, a multimedia graph artist and pastel painter. Dr. Brown and her husband have two cats and are the proud grandparents of three grandchildren.
